I have some exciting news to share today. I’ve started a new blog – Pressure Cooking Today!
Today’s pressure cookers aren’t the scary, about to explode pressure cookers you may remember. I love my electric pressure cooker because it’s like a souped up crockpot. With just a few minor changes you can make your favorite crockpot meal in the pressure cooker in a fraction of the time, and it will automatically switch to warm when it’s done cooking, so you don’t have to babysit it.
I fell in love with my 6 quart Cuisinart electric pressure cooker but didn’t feel like Barbara Bakes was the right place to showcase all the pressure cooker recipes I’ve been dreaming up, so I decided to start Pressure Cooking Today. (Of course I’ll still be posting delicious new recipes on Barbara Bakes as well.)
I’ve been designing the new site over the summer and now that fall is here it seemed like the perfect time to officially launch Pressure Cooking Today. And what better way to launch it than with a giveaway.

wow! your recipes look sooo good!!! when i had my son 22 years ago i also made baby food with my pressure cooker!!! recipes turned out great! the pressure cooker on the stove…the steaming “rocker” freaking out…stressed me out though!!! your electric Cuisinart pressure cooker looks so beautiful and relaxing to cook with!!! makes me want to go out and buy one again!!! good luck with this new blog!!! can’t wait to try all your recipes!!! thanks!
I remember being scared of my mom’s stove top pressure cooker too lol. The electric pressure cooker does make a few noises that you won’t be use to, but it is a lot less stress inducing. Thanks for the sweet comment!
