It’s Girl Scout cookie time and I’m lovin’ all the recipes talented food bloggers have been creating using the cookies or incorporating the flavors of the cookies in new and creative desserts.
My favorite Girl Scout cookie is the Samoa. It’s a great combination of chocolate, coconut and caramel with a crunchy shortbread cookie. Last year I created Samoa Macarons and Samoa Brownie Bites. This year I decide I had to share some of the fantastic Samoa recipes I’ve been seeing:
Samoa Cupcakes from Culinary Chronicles
Baked Samoa Donuts from On Sugar Mountain
Samoa Fudge from Shugary Sweets
Homemade Samoas Girl Scout Cookies from Just a Taste
Better Than Samoa Bars from Love Bakes Good Cakes
Homemade Girl Scout Cookies: Samoas Bars from Baking Bites
Frozen Samoas from My Creative Stirrings
Samoa/Caramel Delight Brownie Bites from Barbara Bakes
Don’t you just want to to take a bite of each one. Although I’m sure one bite would never be enough.
We’re sort of a divided family around here. My husband is a huge Thin Mint cookie lover. What’s your favorite Girl Scout cookie?

Whoa. This post is just too full of goodness. My favorite are Samoas but we don’t have them where we live so I have to make them. So I am so very thankful that there are food bloggers out there who make yummy stuff like this so I can recreate Girl Scout cookies at home! Thanks for the roundup. 🙂

Girl Scout cookies are different in Australia. I kept asking for things and was told, “we don’t have those here, what are they??”
So I might have to make these GORGEOUS macaronny looking ones and then get my stretchy pants on.

Just as I went to buy a few boxes of Samoas, a woman literally pushed ahead of me and bought all that was left. I decided to make my own. I’ve been dreaming up a Samoa bar recipe and now you have shared some great ideas. I particularly love your macarons… wow! I’ve never made macarons and would love to do that. They are gorgeous, Barbara.

Wow, those all look delicious. In my house, my hubby and I love the Do Si Do’s (peanut butter filled oatmeal). I love the thin mints frozen and the Samoas too. I was a girl scout leader years ago and loved this time of year.

What a round-up, Barbara. Caramel, coconut and chocolate are my favorite ingredients for any dessert. I don’t even know where to start… Those brownie bites look fantastic.!

Well since the question does ask for our favorite cookie I have to say the Thin Mint too. BUT…the Samoa is simply not a cookie, why don’t they just market it as the round candy bar it is? I LOVE them.

Bring on the Samoas! I can’t get enough!

I would like one of everything, please. Thanks.
