My mother used to make these for us way back in the 50’s when we were kids and dad loved them too. Thanks for the reminder. Made them tonight and they are still yummy. I just precooked the bacon in the microwave just short of crisp and that worked well.

how do I keep the precooked bacon from crumbling into pieces when it is wrapped around the hotdog?

THANKS FOR REMINDING ME OF THE CHEESE/BACON WRAPPED HOT DOGS, I REMEMBER THEM FROM MY KINDERGARTEN CLASS OF 70 YEARS AGO WHEN OUR CLASS WOULD WALK TO THE PARK AND COOK THEM ON A GRILL AND ENJOY!

So on the bacon hot dogs, what do you suggest if we don’t have the microwaveable bacon but have the regular bacon?

My mother use to make these for us as a child back in the late 1960’s til I left home n 1976. Mash potatoes & mac & cheese was great side dish as a meal.
