I made these, so I speak with authority.

They are SO good. Not too sweet as written, and I am that cook who always scales back on sugar. FYI–I used dark chocolate chips for the Dove chocolate. I measured the ounces.

I loved this cause it was like a brownie without being cloying and like a waffle without being blah, as most waffles are. The perfect mix of light and rich. I used carton coconut milk in place of dairy. Perfect lighter-side but chocolatey dessert. I didn’t eat it with cream. I just dipped in sugar.

Barbara, your blog is so trustworthy and truly helpful (esp. for a high altitude cook).
