This is one of those simple but fabulous recipes that everyone seems to love. It has the flavors of a Creamsicle in a smooth, rich, creamy fruit dip.

This Creamy Orange Fruit Dip is a favorite option for adding a bit of something extra to your fruit tray.  Using cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and orange juice you can create a light airy marshmallow fruit dip that everyone will rave over when served.

This is a family favorite recipe that we love to take to parties. I decided to add some new pictures to share again since it is so popular.

    Creamy Orange Fruit Dip

I love how this is one of those simple but fabulous recipes that everyone seems to love.  It is creamy and rich and tastes like a Creamsicle.  Of course, this makes it a favorite for anyone who grew up with the ice cream treat!

Creamy Orange Fruit Dip on a plate with a variety of fruit

My sister shared this recipe with me many years ago, the orange zest is my only change to the recipe. I think it adds just a little extra zip and a nice color.  Every time I make this, I get requests for the recipe.  The dip comes together in a flash!  Even though it isn’t really low fat or low calorie, it is great since you are not eating much at once.  I feel pretty good about eating it since I am eating more fruit and only a small serving of the dip.

Tips for Making Fruit Dip Recipe

One of the most important things my sister told me about making this recipe was to have your cream cheese and orange juice concentrate at room temperature.

If you’ve ever worked with cream cheese for any recipe where it needs softening, you know how important that is to make sure everything incorporates well without lumps.  In my experience, leaving it out on the counter for about 60 minutes can make it soft enough to work into this recipe without a mixer.  If you don’t have a chance to allow this, you can remove from the wrapper and microwave on a low setting in 15-20 second increments until just soft.

What to Serve with Creamy Fruit Dip

Of course, this is a fruit dip, but not all fruits work well with the orange flavor.  I find that it compliments certain things better than others.  While honeydew melon is excellent with this, I find that it doesn’t compliment cantaloupe.  Below are some of my favorite fruits to serve alongside this dip.

    • Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, and blueberries
    • Pineapple, watermelon, and honeydew melon
    • Apples, pears, and grapes
    • Peaches and nectarines

How to Store the Fruit Dip

Once you have this mixed together well, I recommend popping back into the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.  While this isn’t necessary, it does help the flavors mix together better.

After preparing, you will want to keep this stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.  If you have leftovers, they will be good for up to one week when kept refrigerated.

Note, when serving, make sure you scoop out just the portion you will be using. Don’t dip your fruit into the main bowl of fruit dip.  The juices from the fruit will mix into the dip and can not only change the flavor but could lead to it spoiling faster.

this is the best fruit dip I’ve made it for wedding’s, birthdays, baby showers, Christmas Party’s and even football get togethers.

What a beautiful fruit tray. …and a delicious sounding dip to go with it. I’ve made something similar but not added orange zest. I’ll definitely have to give your version a try.
