I made this following the box brownie recipe and they were so oily when I broke them all up. I found out from a professional baker that you shouldn’t use any oil in any type of cake pop either brownie or cake, you should always substitute equal amounts of butter instead because it makes it denser and there isn’t a ton of oil everywhere. So I tried it and they turned out amazing. The candy melts wouldn’t stick to my original ones made with oil which is why I looked to see if I did something wrong and I found that all out. Other than the oil part everything worked out great once I changed altered the recipe.

I recently made this recipe for my daughter’s 5th birthday. They were a hit!!! My only suggestion is make them smaller than you think… we used a cookie scooper and they were so big we only fit 5 on a 15 cake pop stand which created issues and elongated the process of making them. Overall though the cake pops were delicious and everyone raved about them!!
