The last few years I’ve decided to stay at home on Black Friday and shop online instead. If you’ve decided to shop online this year too, here’s my Gift Giving Guide. My kitchen favorites that would be perfect for anyone who loves to bake. There’s something in every price range.
This year I bought a Breville Stand Mixer that I’m in love with. The glass bowl makes it easy to see if everything is mixed properly. The beater blade comes with it, and works great scrapping everything off the sides and bottom of the bowl.
The Breville Convection Toaster Oven is a little pricey, but this little oven gets used more than my full size oven lately. It makes perfect toast, 6 slices at a time. Has a bagel setting that doesn’t burn the back side of the bagels. It preheats quickly, so it’s fun to keep cookie dough in the freezer and bake just one or two cookies when a craving hits.
My Blendtec Blender has made making smoothies in the morning a breeze. I use to keep the blender in the cupboard, but the Blendtec works so well it’s now earned a place on the counter.
I love immersion blenders for blending soups or sauces right in the pot, but the one I have now scratches my non stick pot. So I’m putting the Breville Immersion Blender on my Wish List. Along with other great features, it has a guard on the bottom so it doesn’t scratch pots.
One tool I use all the time in the kitchen is scoops. I use a size Size 16 scoop to portion out batter for cupcakes and muffins, and to divide batter evenly in my bundts pans. I even use this scoop to dish up a pretty servings of rice or mashed potatoes. Works pretty great with ice cream too.
The Size 40 scoop is perfect for making cookies. All your cookies will be round and the same size when you use a scoop, and it’s so much quicker.
This 6-Piece Stainless Steel Nesting Measuring Cup Set is my favorite because it’s got a 2/3 cup and a 3/4 cup measuring cup. I know you could just use the 1/4 cup 3 times, but having a 3/4 cup just makes me happy.
This 6 Piece Measuring Spoon Set also includes a 1/8 teaspoon and a 1/2 tablespoon measuring spoon, which can be especially nice if you’re halving a recipe.
A digital scale is a must have in the kitchen. They’re inexpensive and making baking so much easier.
I’ve been having so much fun this year with my Nonstick Madeleine Pans.
Pressure Cookers and Accessories
The Instant Pot is a great electric pressure cooker. It’s super quiet and there’s very little evaporation. I love the stainless steel pot so I use my Immersion Blender right in the pot to blend soups or sauces. WATCH my Facebook Page for Black Friday specials on the Instant Pot.
I also love my Fagor LUX pressure cooker. The non-stick ceramic cooking pot makes for quick clean ups.
The OXO Good Grips Pop-Up Steamer is a perfect addition to the electric pressure cookers. I use it often for things like potatoes that I want to keep up out of the water so they steam and don’t boil.
My favorite gift to give, my new pressure cookbook, The Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook. It’s perfect for a beginner or the veteran pressure cooker user who’s in need of some great new recipes.
