In reply to Diane Ziemba. Hi Diane - It's actually super easy. I use a Ziploc bag and just cut a tiny hole in the corner of the bag. If you want your icing a little thicker, just snip the hole a bit bigger.

In reply to Mary. Hi Mary - sorry your cookies were flat. Yes the confectioners sugar is only for the icing and does not go in the cookie batter. You could try adding a little extra flour, or sometimes an overnight rest in the fridge will help as well.

Barbara, Is the confectioners sugar Only for the icing or does it go into the cookie batter? my cookies came out looking good only to be stuck to the parchment paper and very flat; I’m not sure what I did wrong (maybe mine needed a little more flour?)
