I’ve been enjoying readying everyone’s year end roundups of their most popular recipes for 2012, so I decided to find out mine and share the results. Here’s my most popular recipes posted in 2012:
12. Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake Bites: Cheesecake with a layer of caramel over a graham cracker crust wrapped in luscious chocolate. This recipe was the 12th most popular post of 2012, but it might be my favorite.
11. Lemon Pull-Apart Bread: Layers of light, fluffy sweet bread sandwiched with sweet, fragrant lemon sugar, then drizzled with a tart lemon glaze.
10. Chocolate Sour Cream Bundt Cake: A rich, dense, super-moist, sweet chocolate bundt cake drizzled with chocolate ganache. Cakes made in bundt pans seem already dressed up for a party.
9. Chocolate Nutella Caramel Filled Cookies: A rich, chewy, brownie-like chocolate Nutella cookie with a melted, gooey caramel in the middle. An irresistible cookie I created for World Nutella Day.
8. Overnight Refrigerator Oatmeal with Berries: Old fashioned oats soaked overnight in milk and yogurt, sweetened with a drizzle of agave and strawberries and blueberries. A creamy, delicious, healthy breakfast that is easy to throw together at night and ready to eat in the morning.
7. Chocolate Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread: A moist, delicious, better-for-you double chocolate quick bread made with zucchini, non-fat Greek yogurt and canola oil.
6. Baked Apple Cinnamon Sugar Donuts: These moist, tender, better-for-you, baked donuts are loaded with triple apple flavor. Chucks of dried apple are simmered in apple juice until they’re plumb and juicy. Applesauce is also added to the batter to create another layer of appley deliciousness.
5. Samoa Macarons: A rich, crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside chocolate macaron filled with caramel and toasted coconut. The flavors of a Girl Scout Samoa cookie dressed up for a macaron party.
4. Light and Fluffy Whole Wheat Waffles: A whole wheat waffle that is light and fluffy inside and crispy, golden brown outside. They’re easy to whip up with ingredients I always have on hand.
3. Julia Child’s French Bread: You can make a great crusty loaf of French bread at home. Julia Child took techniques she learned in French bakeries and adapted them for the home kitchen.
2. Baked Lemon Donuts: A light, fluffy baked lemon donut drizzled with a tart lemon glaze. Made with whole wheat flour and lemon Greek yogurt makes me feel better about indulging in donuts in the morning.
1. Easy Pizza Monkey Bread: This easy-to-make monkey bread is also very addictive. A cross between pizza and buttery garlic rolls, we couldn’t stop gobbling up bite after cheesy bite. Makes this for your next party.
