1cupsmooth peanut butter
½cupgranulated sugar
1 cupbrown sugar
2large eggs
2teaspoonsvanilla
1 ½cupsall purpose flour
1cupold fashioned oatmeal
1teaspoonbaking soda
½teaspoonsalt
1cupchocolate chipssemi-sweet or milk chocolate
1cupMM candies
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl add the butter and peanut butter together and beat well until combined.
Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar and beat until well creamed.
Add the eggs and vanilla and mix to combine.
Add the flour, oatmeal, baking soda, and salt to the bowl and stir to combine.
Add the chocolate chips and chocolate candies and stir to combine.
Cover and chill the dough for 20 minutes or as long as overnight.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and line a baking sheet with parchment or a baking mat.
Form the dough into balls that are 2 tabelspoons and place on the cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. You can add a few more candies or chocolate chips to the top of the cookie ball to make them a little prettier if you'd like.
Bake until the edges are lightly browned and the center set, 12-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to rest on the baking sheet for minutes before placing them on a wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
This recipe works best with a thicker peanut butter that isn't too drippy. I recommend not using a natural peanut butter and if you do, make sure it's well stirred and not too drippy.
