Red, sweet, juicy strawberries covered with smooth, creamy chocolate is a delectable, sensual dessert and one of my favorite indulgences. I incorporated those luscious flavors in a chocolate strawberry macaron for this month's MacTweets' challenge Ice Cream Dreams. We were challenged to concoct an ice cream sandwich with homemade ice cream and home-baked macarons. An irresistible dessert on a hot summer day.

This month's MacAttack is going pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's a pleasure to participate in this special MacAttack. My sweet friend and neighbor is currently battling this horrible disease and another dear friend just started working as the Executive Director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Salt Lake City Affiliate. I volunteered to help and will be helping update their website and Facebook page with upcoming local events. If you live in Salt Lake, a fun upcoming event is the Zumba Party in Pink on October 20, 2010.

I got a little carried away at the store today. I had this idea to make candy corn macarons for this month's Mac Tweets and I went to the store to buy candy corn to dress up the pictures. When I got there, they had ordinary candy corn of course, but this year Bach's also had Caramel Candy Corn, and Chocolate Caramel Candy Corn, and Caramel Apple Candy Corn. All of which I decided I should take home and try.
