In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the French vanilla pudding mix and 3 cups of milk until smooth. Set aside.
In a larger bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until smooth.
Add the thawed Cool Whip to the cream cheese mixture and blend with the electric mixer until smooth. Gently fold in the pudding mixture. Pour the creamy mixture over the Oreo crumbs in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining Oreo crumbs on top and gently pat them down with a spoon. Optionally, decorate with gummy worms for a playful touch. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set. Serve chilled and enjoy!
