Notes
Recipe Variations & Substitutions:
Olive oil is key to giving the sprouts a nice crunchy exterior. If you don’t have olive oil, you can use any other high heat oil like vegetable or canola oil.
Other spices you can add to these Brussels sprouts include red pepper flakes, paprika, onion powder, sea salt, and freshly ground pepper.
You can make your own Italian seasoning by combining equal parts oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
Try paprika for smokiness, onion powder for extra savory notes, or sea salt and freshly ground pepper for simplicity.
You can cook these Brussels sprouts whole, cut them in half, or quarter them. (Bigger ones need cut in half or quarters.)
Temperature Variances: Every air fryer runs slightly differently. If your sprouts aren't quite crispy enough at 10 minutes, add 2-3 more minutes. Keep an eye on them after the 8-minute mark to prevent burning.Fresh Beats Frozen: While you can use frozen Brussels sprouts, fresh ones will always give you superior texture and flavor. If using frozen, thaw completely and pat them very dry with paper towels before seasoning.Storing & Reheating:
These Brussels sprouts are best served fresh; however, you can store your leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 380°.
