  • cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons agave
  • 1 ½ cups crushed ice
  • 4 fresh strawberries for garnish

  • Place the chopped strawberries, orange juice, lime juice and agave into a blender and pulse several times to blend. Taste and if necessary, add more agave. Add crushed ice and pulse until desired consistency is reached. Pour the drink into the prepared glasses.

Notes

  • Add ice last: Always blend the fruit and juice first, taste for sweetness, then add crushed ice and pulse to your preferred consistency — slushy or smooth.
  • Press firmly when rimming the glass: After wetting the rim with a lime wedge, press and twist the glass gently in the coarse sugar at a slight angle to get full, even coverage.
  • Double the batch for a crowd: This recipe scales easily — simply make it in a pitcher! Blend the fruit base in large batches and refrigerate it in the fridge, then add ice per serving as needed.
  • Optional adult version: Want to turn this into an alcoholic margarita? Simply add: ½ cup of tequila  and  2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
