Notes
Lighter Version: Use fat-free refried beans, light sour cream, and reduced-fat cheese to cut calories without sacrificing much flavor.Spicy Kick: Add a layer of pickled jalapeños, use pepper jack cheese instead of Mexican blend, or mix hot sauce into the bean layer.Vegetarian Black Beans: Swap refried beans for mashed black beans seasoned with cumin and garlic powder for a different flavor profile.Extra Layers: Add a layer of seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken between the beans and guacamole for a heartier eight or nine layer version.
