This is one of those simple but fabulous recipes that everyone seems to love. It’s rich, creamy and delicious and tastes like a Creamsicle, only smoother and creamier. My sister gave me the recipe years ago and I get requests for the recipe whenever I make it.
Today’s recipe is part of a Virtual Baby Shower for Two Peas and Their Pod hosted by Marla, Family Fresh Cooking, and Lisa, With Style and Grace. Friends of Maria and Josh are posting a fun craft or recipe to help celebrate their soon to arrive little pea.
Maria and Josh are going to be great parents and I’m sure there will always be cookies in the house. I wish them an easy, uneventful, quick delivery and look forward to holding their sweet little angel.
I’m happy to contribute my fruit and Creamy Orange Fruit Dip to the celebration. The dip comes together in a flash, as long as you have your cream cheese and the orange juice concentrate at room temperature. You don’t even need to use a mixer.
This dip isn’t low fat or low cal, but since you’re only eating a tablespoon or so of it and you’re eating it with fruit, I feel pretty good about eating it. The orange zest is my only change to the recipe. I think it adds just a little extra zip and a nice color.
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, room temperature
- 3 tablespoons orange juice concentrate, room temperature
- 7 oz. jar marshmallow creme
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
Directions
- Stir cream cheese and orange juice together until smooth. Fold in marshmallow creme and zest. Mix until well combined.
In addition to participating in the Virtual Baby Shower, I had the privilege of helping host a Baby Shower for Maria at my house with some of Utah’s best food bloggers. We had a great time at the shower catching up with old friends and new, talking about babies and giving birth, and of course talking about food.
If you’ve ever been to a food bloggers party, you know the food is going to be fabulous. A big thank you to everyone who brought food, and Deborah, Taste and Tell, for getting the ball rolling and taking care of the decorations.
I hope you’ll have fun blog hopping to all of the blogs participating in today’s Virtual Baby Shower for Two Peas & Their Pod:

That dip is fabulous. Perfect for a baby shower.

I will have to bookmark this. For my daughters birthday party last weekend I had in my head that I wanted the “Orange” fruit dip, but I just didn’t get to it and just served the fruit with some vanilla yogurt. This sounds great! I bet it gets nice and fluffy and I like that you added the zest as well.
I love dipping my fruit and this orange flavored dip sound amazing. Perfectly sweet and creamy and I could just eat it with a spoon in fact! What a sweet and fantastic idea for a virtual baby shower. Brilliant idea
Oh, Barbara, does this recipe bring back memories. My mom always made this recipe years ago, for showers that she would throw with her friends. My mom was a beautiful hostess and blessed many young moms. She’d also sew her own blankets. Thanks for the reminder of this yummy recipe, and I really hope Maria is blessed today!
Yeah, a recipe for that dip! It was a highlight of the evening for me! Thanks for hosting Maria’s real life baby shower. It was great to see everyone.
Oh how good does this sound!! I love fruit dips and I’m loving your dish it’s in too
So happy you brought this to the party!
Thanks for sharing a few photos of the real thing…wish I could have been there!
Congrats Maria and Josh!!
I’m loving this dip!!
Looks totally delish Barbara!
Simple fruit dips always seem to be the best ones.
Thanks Barbara for doing 2 showers for me. You sure spoil me:) I am so lucky to have you as a friend and I loved the fruit and dip! So tasty:)
Your dip was so delicious, Barbara! I’m actually thinking about making it for a family reunion this weekend!!

What a fun time to host the baby shower. I bet it was fabulous!!! I didn’t know about the virtual baby shower or I would have baked something.
O-well, next time.
You had me at Creamsicle! What a lovely party dip.
Oh does this recipe bring back memories! I used to love Creamsicles when I was a kid.
This looks so smooth and heavenly, Barbara! The orange zest is a good call:) The food at the shower looks yummy! That’s the only problem with the “virtual” shower, I don’t get to taste all the goodies!
I have made a similar dip in the past but never thought to add orange juice – genius!
I just printed the recipe because it sounds so yummy. I love the virtual baby shower idea.
–Barbara,

Never have to plan a baby shower again – I’ll just use your plan!
I’ve seen similar recipes for this creamsicle based fruit dip and I’ve always wanted to make it. It sounds like the ultimate dip for fruit. So nice that you were all able to get together, enjoy each other, and enjoy some great food. Looks like a fantastic time.
LOVE this dip Barbara! Maria and the Utah shower guests were so lucky to enjoy this for reals. So glad you joined in on the fun
Smoother and creamier than a creamsicle… oh my, this sounds so delicious, your post has me really wishing this wasn’t virtual! Nice to ‘meet’ you btw Barbara. =)

I could eat this with a spoon! Yum!
Oh, yum! Yes, the orange zest will definitely give the dip a beautiful color. This is perfect for a party I’m hosting on Saturday. Thanks for sharing this.
