This may not come as a surprise to any of my readers, but my favorite part of Thanksgiving is the dessert/pie. It’s so hard to narrow it down to just one kind of pie, so this year I made three pies for nine of us. My husband loves pumpkin, my daughter requested Cranberry Apple Streusel and for my mom, who loved lemon desserts I made this month’s Daring Baker’s challenge a Crostata and topped it with lemon curd.

My mom was so pleased that I made lemon “pie” for her because “I know she loves lemon!” I miss you mom!

I’m with your mom, Barbara. I always lean toward fruity desserts and, in particular, ones with a lemony zing to them. This crostata looks downright irresistible to me. Must try as soon as we work through our fridge-full of Thanksgiving leftovers!
