    Ingredients

    • 1 box cake mix flavor of your choice
    • 1 stick of butter ½ cup, melted
    • 2 large eggs
    • Add-ins of your choice e.g., M&Ms, sprinkles, peanut butter chips, peanuts, Reese’s Pieces, etc.

    Instructions

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Grease a 13×9 inch pan and line it with parchment paper so that the parchment extends over the edge of the pan. This will make it easier to remove the cake bars from the pan once they’re done baking.
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and eggs, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
    • Stir in your chosen add-ins, such as M&Ms, sprinkles, peanut butter chips, peanuts, Reese’s Pieces, or any other mix-ins you prefer.
    • Spread the cake batter evenly into the prepared 13×9 inch pan.
    • Bake the cake bars in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Once baked, allow the cake bars to cool completely in the pan before gently pulling them out using the parchment paper overhang.
    • Once fully cooled, transfer the cake bars to a cutting board and cut them into squares of your desired size.

    Notes

    • Experiment with different cake mix flavors and add-ins to create unique variations of cake bars.
    • For a festive touch, use colored sprinkles or seasonal candies as add-ins.
    • If you prefer a gooier texture, you can slightly underbake the cake bars and let them cool completely in the pan before cutting.
    • Store any leftover cake bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a few days. You can also freeze them for longer storage.
    • These cake bars are versatile and great for parties, potlucks, or as a sweet treat for any occasion. Enjoy!
