Caramel Cashew Milkshake
Rich vanilla ice cream blended with melted caramels and salty, roasted cashew nuts. A thick ice cream shop style milkshake that you have to eat with a spoon.
My husband’s favorite milkshake is Caramel Cashew from Nielsen’s Frozen Custard. Their ice cream is so thick that they call it concrete. While this shake isn’t as thick as Nielsen’s, it’s every bit as creamy and delicious. My husband gave it two thumbs up.

Caramel Cashew Milkshake
Ingredients
- 3 soft caramel candies unwrapped (about 1 ounce)
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream (approximately 3 scoops)
- 6 roasted, salted cashews
Instructions
- In a microwave safe dish, combine caramel and milk. Cook on high until milk starts to bubble, about 15 seconds. Remove and stir until caramel is melted and smooth. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Add caramel mixture and ice cream to Blender Jar. Blend until smooth. Add cashews and pulse until cashews are evenly distributed throughout the shake but not smooth.
Twister Jar Directions
- Add caramel mixture and ice cream to Twister Jar; push ice cream down to blade and place Twister Lid on jar.
- Hold Twister Lid and with the other hand press "Speed Up", turn Twister Lid counter-clockwise during blending and run until nearly smooth. Press "Pulse" to stop blender.
- Add cashews. Replace lid and press "Pulse" until cashews are evenly distributed throughout the shake but not smooth.

very varied and delicious recipes, I wish you continued success 🙂
This isn’t going to make it any easier to not make one for dinner…
This is beautifully done! And I’m sure it tastes just so creamy and divine!
Malt powder is an essential ingredient in my milkshakes. I guess that makes them malteds–chocolate, vanilla and like your husband, I love most any with a caramel edge to them. Chocolate caramel maltshake?
My husband loves malt in his shakes too. My kids not so much. I’m sure I’d love a chocolate caramel malt too.
Milkshake made from ice cream…that must be very tasty!
Barbara, comment vas-tu ?
C’est une très belle recette
Je te souhaite un beau WE
Valérie.
I like plain old chocolate, but this one has real potential! I’m on a soft food diet because of mouth surgery, so this one is on the menu for the weekend…
Oh my gosh, Barbara, this sounds incredible! I’m sold:)
Mmm what a fun looking milkshake! And it looks fabulously thick 🙂
I don’t have milk shakes nearly enough at home!! I’ll have to try making my cashew ice cream into a milk shake soon!!
Mmm I can enjoy this any day of the week! Yummy !
