A S’more layered with Dove’s extra creamy milk chocolate Promises filled with creamy caramel in the middle. The melted, dripping caramel adds another layer of ooey gooey deliciousness to this classic dessert.

Susan Whetzel, a popular food blogger, Doughmesstic, has a new cookbook, The S’mores Cookbookimage with fifty fun S’mores recipes that range from super easy to sophisticated S’mores desserts. I was sent a copy to review and when I was thumbing through the cookbook the first recipe I stopped at was the Rolo S’more recipe. I love Rolos, but I had some Caramel Dove Promises in the cupboard and I knew the Caramel Promises would be fantastic in a S’more.

    Chocolate-Caramel-Smores-Collage

I toasted my S’mores in my Breville Smart Ovenimage, but the cookbook lists lots of alternatives to toasting your mallows in the oven. If you’re a S’mores lover, this is the cookbook for you. It’s an entire book devoted to creamy chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and graham cracker desserts.

If you’d like to win a copy of The S’mores Cookbook, Adams Media is giving one away to one lucky Barbara Bakes reader. Details on how to enter the giveaway are at the end of this post.

Believe it or not, I’ve never had a S’more……..oh dear, marshmallows, Dove chocolate, caramel….decadence between 2 graham crackers. Thinking about all those flavors makes me swoon……and hungry. 🙂

      Thank you Barbara!

Carol – obviously you’re not a camper. 🙂 Next time you’re craving something sweet in a hurry, give S’mores a try.

I hadn’t thought of trying chocolates other than Hershey. Hmm – how about raspberry-filled dark chocolate?

Love that you can toast them in the toaster oven. I use that thing more than my regular oven! And then we can have s’mores all year round!

I just bought the toaster oven a few months ago and we’re wondering how we ever lived without it.
